Ms Ellery attended Mount Royal College and graduated with a Child and Youth Care Counsellor Diploma in 2007. She has worked with children and youth of all ages, in a variety of settings including preschool, overnight camp, youth volunteers, and at-risk youth programs. She holds her Child Development Supervisor Certificate (formerly level 3) from Alberta Child and Youth Services.

Now a mother of 3, Ms Ellery is passionate about providing our playschool students with an opportunity to flourish in our learn-through-play environment. She believes our students are all unique and loves to plan playschool programming that intrigues and encourages our littlest learners so they can have a wonderful early education experience.

Ms. Rachelle

Rachelle Kearl joined Springbank playschool as our art specialist and teaching assistant in 2012. In 2013 she became one of our teachers, and has spent time in both the 3- and 4- year old classrooms over the past few years.

Ms. Rachelle is an accomplished local artist whose work has been showcased in both Springbank and downtown Calgary's "Art Central". She has also taught private art lessons to children of all ages.  Ms. Rachelle believes all children are creative whether on a canvas or through their play. She enjoys seeing the results of setting before a group of students varying objects/tools etc. and watching them explore, play and discover, no two children or two days are the same!

Ms. Rachelle is a mom of 4 and has recently been working on extending her certification in Early Childhood Education to hold a Child Development Worker certificate. She brings a world of creativity and imagination to our classroom that the children love. We are lucky to have a teacher with extremely relevant knowledge and fresh ideas to engage our students each day they come to school.
